We were pleased to welcome a guest from the NSPCC to talk to the Year 5 and 6 children about the ChildLine support services - both phone and online. She talked to them about their right to feel safe and that if they are worried about anything - it could be something big or something small - they shouldn't bottle it up. It can really help to talk to someone whether that be a family member, friend, staff at school or ChildLine. The children are looking forward to taking part in workshops in the near future.
On Thursday 11th February, we were delighted to welcome family and friends of the children to join us for our ‘Bring someone you care about to lunch’ meal . The children had invited someone special to come along to school and enjoy eating together. The hall and tables were decorated 'Valentine's Day style' with balloons and bunting, as well as colouring and quizzes for the children and their guests to complete. We hope this will be the first of many shared events.
