  • Village Get Together

    Mon 23 May 2016

Sherbrooke children (and staff!) had a great time at the Calverton event. Everyone dressed up colourfully, decorated themselves with sweets and face paints and carried balloons for the parade. Singing most of the way, they followed what else but a giant peach (well- Miss Maddison)! It made our day to be awarded the Best on Parade. no

Our performers in the arena did a fantastic job - dancing to a 'mash' of music from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda. The 'golden ticket' chocolate stall proved very popular. Many thanks to everyone who helped to plan the day, took part or came to support us.

We had a great time celebrating World Book Day and the children took part in a variety of different activities. We welcomed many friends and family members to a before school Reading café, where they were able to share books with one another, as well as having a cuppa and a slice of toast! Several children visited Nabarro Court and enjoyed sharing some favourite books, while others read to pupils at Manor Park.
  • NSPCC ChildLine Assembly

    Tue 16 Feb 2016

We were pleased to welcome a guest from the NSPCC to talk to the Year 5 and 6 children about the ChildLine support services - both phone and online. She talked to them about their right to feel safe and that if they are worried about anything - it could be something big or something small - they shouldn't  bottle it up. It can really help to talk to someone whether that be a family member, friend, staff at school or ChildLine. The children are looking forward to taking part in workshops in the near future.
