Here you can see lots of the latest Sherbrooke news as it happens.
We celebrated the talent of our pupils with a musical showcase evening. Those children who have been part of the choir, or learnt the ukele or guitar, showed off their talent. The audience was also treated to vocal performances by soloists as well as some Irish dancing. What a treat!
Sherbrooke children (and staff!) had a great time at the Calverton event. Everyone dressed up colourfully, decorated themselves with sweets and face paints and carried balloons for the parade. Singing most of the way, they followed what else but a giant peach (well- Miss Maddison)! It made our day to be awarded the Best on Parade. ![]()
Our performers in the arena did a fantastic job - dancing to a 'mash' of music from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda. The 'golden ticket' chocolate stall proved very popular. Many thanks to everyone who helped to plan the day, took part or came to support us.
We were pleased to welcome a guest from the NSPCC to talk to the Year 5 and 6 children about the ChildLine support services - both phone and online. She talked to them about their right to feel safe and that if they are worried about anything - it could be something big or something small - they shouldn't bottle it up. It can really help to talk to someone whether that be a family member, friend, staff at school or ChildLine. The children are looking forward to taking part in workshops in the near future.
