  • NSPCC ChildLine Assembly

    Tue 16 Feb 2016

We were pleased to welcome a guest from the NSPCC to talk to the Year 5 and 6 children about the ChildLine support services - both phone and online. She talked to them about their right to feel safe and that if they are worried about anything - it could be something big or something small - they shouldn't  bottle it up. It can really help to talk to someone whether that be a family member, friend, staff at school or ChildLine. The children are looking forward to taking part in workshops in the near future.

Our choir had the opportunity to sing once again - this time at the Broadmarsh  shopping centre in Nottingham. The choir (with Mrs Cookson) have worked extremely hard this term and have  made a huge impression when they have performed. They sang in St Wilfrid's Square, where family, friends and shoppers gave tremendous support and shortly afterwards they headed to Springwater Lodge Care Home to perform again! We are always made to feel very welcome and, after singing their hearts out, they enjoyed chatting to a few staff members and residents and were treated to juice and sweets before heading back to school. Congratulations to them and thank you to all who supported them.no
