  • Remembrance Assembly

    We were honoured to have members of The Royal British Legion attend our Remembrance Assembly. Children laid poppies in the hall, on which they had written their own special messages.

    We have begun our Craft Club sessions which are held after school on Tuesdays.
  • Harvest Donations

    This year all the donated food items were given to a local food bank, where we know it will help a great many people. Thank you for your generosity.

  • Harvest Assembly

    Our harvest assembly was a wonderful mix of art work, poetry, prayer and singing. Songs  included; 'Lunchtime Queue', '5 a day' as well as the 'Harvest Samba'. The choir sang beautifully during their performances - they have worked extremely hard with Mrs Cookson smiley
  • Mark Spencer Visits Sherbrooke

    In preparation for Sherbrooke creating its own Pupil Parliament, the children were visited by MP Mark Spencer. He has been the Member of Parliament for the Sherwood constituency since 2010. During assembly he spoke about his experiences of being elected, and serving, as an MP.
  • Leavers 2015!

    We bid farewell to staff and pupils in a day full of emotion cool A special assembly was held in the morning for Mrs Hill, Miss Holloway and Mr Civico. They were presented with cards and gifts; specially written poems were read out and several children performed.

    In the afternoon, it was time to present a variety of awards and certificates to chosen pupils and, of course, to say goodbye to our year six pupils. Awards included; 100% attendance, Most Improved, Stars of the Year, Governors' awards for exceptional effort and the overall Sherbrooke Star of the Year. Year six pupils gave another performance of Dear Future Teacher from their show and sang the very moving song Goodbye My Friend beautifully.   • Summer Treat!

    Our end of term treat was great fun. The children enjoyed a bouncy castle, water pistols and ice cream!
  • Sports Day

    Thankfully the weather stayed fine for our afternoon of sports. Activities included: three legged races, sack races and an obstacle course as well as sprints and relays. Children were put into teams and points were awarded. The red team was awarded the trophy for gaining the most points. no Well done to all the children who took part. Many thanks to Mr Knott for another successful Sports Day and, of course, to all those who helped to organise and run the event and to friends and family who came to support the children.
  • Thank You Assembly

    Our special guests, on Friday afternoon, were those who help us enormously by

    coming in to school to help with such things as reading and sewing. They enjoyed a cream tea, followed by a special assembly.
