Here you can see lots of the latest Sherbrooke news as it happens.
2 year six pupils have been out and about this week checking that our school entrance and road is a safe place to be. They are our Junior Road Safety Officers Nancy and Eve. Both girls worked closely with our school caretaker, Mr Barnes, and our local community support officer to keep watch over drivers at school this week. Nancy had the following to say "it's gone really well, most people cross the road really sensibly and we've been helping parents to fins a safe space to park which is not inside our gates."
Keep up the good work girls!
Staff and residents at the Springwater residential home thoroughly enjoyed a visit from the Sir John Sherbrooke choir. The singing was incredible, with a great mixture of traditional carols and some more contemporary songs. Thanks to the staff for providing the children with drinks and sweet treats afterwards!
What an evening! The basketball team played so well despite the tough competition! They really held their own out there and gave the other teams a run for their money! All their skills really came in to play and they worked brilliantly as a team! Great job guys!!
Huge thank you to Leah and Ewan's parents for working so hard generating sponorships for the fantastic kit! Thank you to all the local businesses for their generosity - it is very much appreciated!!
A few weeks ago we attended a basket ball meeting and competed really well. We were well supported too but there was just one problem.....we looked a bit 'thrown' together. Check out the article to see what happened next!
A couple of charismatic mums took on our plight to ensure we looked the business at our next tournament which happens this Friday. They nagged, pleaded and persuaded donations to buy an entire set of basket ball tops for the school. We think they look pretty cool and they will certainly give us a boost when we model them on Friday. Thank you so much to those parents who worked so hard on the team's behalf. You are total stars!
