  • Year 5 Papplewick Pumping Station Trip

    Tue 01 May 2018
    Year 5 visited Papplewick Pumping Station and interacted with ‘real’ people from the Victorian times who were influential in creating the Pumping Station and providing clean water to Nottingham. They also looked at how water is still unclean for many people around the world today. 
  • Work on Display at Shakespeare’s Home.

    Earlier this year children from across the school worked with a poet to create poems based on different Shakespeare plays. Each year group looked at a different style of poetry and then created their own versions in a Take Care way. The finished work has been displayed for over a month in one of Shakespeare’s Home (New Place) in Stratford-upon-Avon, where it has been seen by thousands of visitors from across the world. 
  • Reading Reward Breakfast Spring Term 2018

    Children who had received a GOLD or PLATINUM reading award for either of the spring half terms were invited to a special reading reward breakfast. To earn a GOLD award the children had to read over 35 times at home over a half term. To earn a PLATINUM they had to read over 50 times at home over a half term.
  • Year 4 Papplewick Pumping Station Time Travelling.

    Year 4 spent the day at Papplewick Pumping Station travelling back in time to meet characters from the Victorian Age and learning more about water. They also learnt about how water is used and misused in today’s world. 
  • Aspire Shakespeare Festival

    A group of our year 3 - 6 children performed extracts from Macbeth and read poems that had been created during Shakespeare Week. The children also sang songs and performed along side 3 of our other MAT schools. What a brilliant day making new friends and performing together.

  • Decorated Egg Competition

    We had over 60 entries  for our decorated egg competition. Such a brilliant range of ideas and everyone had put real effort into their designs. Here are just a few examples of the great Take Care work. We chose a winner from each class. Well done everyone.
  • Easter Disco

    We celebrated a great end of term with a brilliant school disco. There was lots of dancing, face paints, hot dogs, snacks, glitter tattoos & a photo booth. 
  • Family Easter Lunch

  • Planting Trees

    Year 4 and 5 worked with Trees 4 Learning to plant lots of trees at the bottom of our school field to enhance our outdoor learning environment. 
  • Macbeth Performance

    Tue 27 Mar 2018
    After school drama club put on a production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. It was an atmospheric, powerful and brilliantly acted show, done in the original Shakespearean language. Children from every year group were in the show and worked hard over the last two terms to create this production.
